WorldFirst Pros and Cons
Fees & Rates
WorldRemit charges a fee when you transfer money. The amount charged will depend on the amount being sent and the type of transfer being made.
For example, when we send AUD1,000 to the UK, there will be a $3.99 fee. However, when we send AUD$1,000 to the Philippines, we are charged $8.99. There may also be different fees for cash pickups or Airtime..
WorldRemit has very competitive rates, and will certainly beat the bank rates in most circumstances. We calculated an AUD$1,000 transfer to the GBP and we were approximately 1.49% from the interbank rate. Rates may vary between currencies and volumes though, so make sure you do your own calculations.
